100 Thanks to Mary at Goodlife Zen

The Ultimate Personal Growth Guide: 100 Best Posts

Here’s another one of those amazing finds that makes me wish I had ten thousand followers so I could tell them all about it….

Not sure I can call Mary Jaksch from Goodlife ZEN an everyday woman. Yes, all mum’s are extraordinary of course but we’re not all an authorized Zen Master and phychotherapist, author, professional flautist, MA in Religious studies, 4th Dan Blackbelt in Karate and dance the tango in our spare time.

Her blog is a wonderful relaxing oasis of inspiration and, as Mary say’s….   “A place to get a new take on life, find creative ways to make your wildest dreams come true, and become what you aspire to be.”  I love it.

Somehow the lovely Mary has found time to put together The Ulitmate Personal Growth Guide: 100 Best Posts and I have to say having read many of them this is a truly phenominal list and it’s right there for all to benefit from for free. It’s grouped under catagories such as personal transformation, business and career, happiness, relationship and family, creativity, leadership, spirituality, health and fitness, minimalism, and productivity so you can easily reference whatever challenge you need help with or if you’re just searching for some inspiration.

So, 100 Thank you’s Mary. For your wonderful blog and all the wonderful inspiration it brings.

Some things should never change…. Rufflebutts.

A friend of mine mentioned the other day that she couldn’t find any of those lovely pants with the frills all over the butt like our mums used to dress us in. Apparently they’re very hard to find these days which is a shame because they just look so adorable.

By chance I came across a lovely lady in the US who obviously felt the same so she simply created her own range which has grown to become rufflebutts.com.  Amber Schaub says…. “My goal started simple: To create a cute and modern version of the ruffled diaper cover or baby bloomer that was such a staple of my childhood wardrobe. The line in fun, hip and feminine, made of 100% cotton with quality construction. We designed our brand to include multiple colors and patterns which can be mixed-and-matched in order to make the lives of busy moms a little easier.”

This is just a very small, very adorable sample of her huge range which I found quite affordable and impossible to resist.

Lucky they ship to Australia and I have a gorgeous little niece Lillianna who’s butt needed ruffling. Isn’t she adorable….

Thanks Amber. Long live ruffle butts.

Yakkay…. I Like!

What do all the people in these photos have in common?

yakkay-collage1

They’re all wearing bike helmets.  How cool are they?

Made by Yakkay in Denmark this “unique concept for bicycle helmets is the first where safety requirements and style are united and equally valued”.  The helmet itself is a simple design sold seperately. You can then choose from a large range of very smart, sporty, stylish covers.

Very trendy. Might have to start saving for a bike!

Not available in Australia yet but here’s the link if you want to give them a hurry up http://www.yakkay.com/

Planning with Kids Parenting Podcasts….

Listen To Music

Podcasts are another one of those technological internet things that I’ve hoped to one day have the time to research and benefit from (hopefully sometime prior to the next 3 or 4 technological internet things enter my vocabulary).

Enter Nicole Avery, another everyday woman doing extraordinary things.  Nicole is a mother of 5, this alone making her extraordinary in my books (Hi Mum), who somehow finds time to pass on mountains of advice and inspiration through her blog Planning With Kids. Her recent post 10 Parenting Podcasts had me casting pods with just a few easy clicks and has given me access to literally hundreds of great informative and inspiring broadcasts.

Not sure if we’re actually still in the Information Era but how lucky we are to have access to everything the internet has to offer. And how very lucky we are to have friends like Nicole to unselfishly do aaaaall that research for us and throw it out into the universe for others who need it most to find.

Thank you Nicole. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Get What Matters Now for free

what-matters-most

Seth Godin is a marketing guru and author who’s words and opinions I totally respect and admire. He has recently released a FREE ebook called What Matters Now which is a compilation of answers to that very question by 70 big thinking fellow internet gurus.

Seth says…. “Now, more than ever, we need a different way of thinking, a useful way to focus and the energy to turn the game around. I hope a new ebook I’ve organized will get you started on that path. It took months, but I think you’ll find it worth the effort.”

A very interesting and inspiring read indeed.
